 Unique Local Culture:

Located in Xinning County on the borders between south Hunan and Guangxi, the Langshan Mountain is near Guilin Scenic Area to the south and echoes with Zhangjiajie Scenic Area to the north. It is a large Danxia landform area that is rare in China and even the world.

Langshan boasts the natural landscapes of unique features and there are numerous grotesque rock peaks and deep and serene karst caves. The Fuyijiang River (Fuyishui) in the upper reach of the Zijiang River winds through Langshan. With its picturesque scenery, it is as beautiful as Guilin, as tranquil as the Qingcheng Mountain and as lofty as Mount Tai. Here are flourishing vegetations and grow many rare and precious species including the “plant panda” silver fir and Chinese dove tree and animals under national Grade I protection such as south China tiger, clouded leopard, golden pheasant, civet cat and giant salamander. The forest coverage here is over 70% and the ecological environment is very advantageous.

Six matchless scenes of Langshan: No.1 Lane under Heaven, Whales Stirring Up the Sea, General Rock, Camel Peak, Innate Bridge (No.1 Bridge in Asia), Chilli Peak and Fuyijiang River.

The first one is No.1 Lane under Heaven: Located at the Tianyi Lane Area, it may be called a matchless scene like the sky through the crack. In 2009, Tianyi Lane was chosen by China World Records Association as the world’s No.1 lane, setting the world record.

The second one is Whales Stirring Up the Sea: Located at the Bajiaozhai Scenic Area, it overlooks the valley, surrounded by misty clouds and full of amazing peaks and unusual rocks. From time to time, it shows its head and tail just like thousands of whales playing in the sea.

The third one is General Rock: Located at the Fuyijiang Scenic Area, when you drift down the Fujijiang River, the General Rock can be seen shouldering the blue sky, overlooking the river, holding its head high, wearing armor and holding a sharp weapon, which presents a vigorous and powerful appearance.

The fourth one is Camel Peak: Located at the Chilli Peak Scenic Area, it is 187.8 meters high and 273 meters long. With two locations sunken, it is divided into camel’s head, hump and tail, which are vivid and remarkably true to life.

The fifth one is Innate Bridge: With its pier being 64 meters long, 14 meters wide and 20 meters high and its surface being 5 meters thick, the whole bridge looks like an arc flying across the sky. Grand and magnificent, it is crowned as No.1 Bridge in Asia.

The sixth one is Chilli Peak: Located at the Chilli Peak Scenic Area, it is as high as 180 meters and with a big head but small feet, it looks just like an unparalleled large chilli.
